Boris and Sparklehorse Weekend Extravaganza!!!
Okay, guys, so Daniel came up with this great idea to go see two shows at two venues next weekend. The first is Boris, a Japanese noise-metal band, who will be playing at the Orange Peel with Pearls & Brass on Friday, September 8th. The second, but certainly not least, is Sparklehorse, who will be playing at The Grey Eagle Tavern @ 10 PM on Saturday, September 9th. There is an early show @ 7 PM featuring Jay Clifford (Jump, Little Children) and Meghan Coffee (which costs $10 extra).
Tickets for both Boris and Sparklehorse are $10 a pop in advance. We could look for a shitty, cheap hotel room if everyone's interested, which will probably run another $30 (I'll look online for some shit). The total cost, not including food and gas, would probably be about $30 per person if split at least 3 ways.
If interested, please post. I will be willing to drive, as always, so let's get our asses out to the show!

You posted this shit twice you dick. But yeah... I'm so down it'll hurt if we don't get to go. This is what college is about motherfuckers: going to shows, sleeping in cars, getting wasted, and skipping as much as school work as possible to do the above three things.
No Brophin'.
HAHA.
I just had a great idea for this trip. We should go like record shopping or something cool like that or go find some cool hang out stops. I guess that's like common sense. But I was just thinking it. Woody's is okay and all but it doesnt fit my need for old blues guys.
Ok now i'm gonna go back admiring shirtless guys from my window.
oh yeah we should get wasted as much as possible too. How could i have forgotten that?
You guys ever heard of Fugazi?
I know a guy that used to be in a band, not a big band mind you just a band, who had a dog. Well that dog's bitch..yeah. Her owner's ex girlfriend won a spelling bee in sixth grade...and the guy who placed second in that saw Ian Mackaye one time...AND HE WAS DRINKING A BEER.
Good idea Daniel. To the record shops we go! And don't forget about the beer . . .
Okay . . . hotels are gonna run from about $55 to $70 a night. Tell me your thoughts now!!!!
that's how much money now? i'm no good at math.
i still say let's do it. college is all about doing stupid shit. (although i don't consider this stupid.) but let's have some fucking fun. let's not be dorks who only have class to talk about.
About $50 per person, including gas, lodging, and tickets (that's assuming the three of us are going). Overall, I'd say bring some extra cash for food and records.
How about we leave early Saturday and just see Sparklehorse. We won't have to worry about lodging and we can still go record shopping. I'm guessing it would be about $20. Sound good?
I kinda wanted to see Boris more than Sparklehorse. But whatever fits the needs of the group as a whole.
Okay . . . I bought my ticket. I'd recommend getting yours now, guys.
