Any one can draw a cartoon about anything. I wanted some real information. But I agree: Fuck The FCC. What about i don't get about WENR is how does the FCC control it? It's mainly on the internet. No one controls the internet.
It's not controlled by the FCC. WINR's not on the air, therefore it cannot be monitored/put in check by the FCC unless it goes back on radio or tele anywhere past the campus.
And the cartoon's cool. Everyone knows how shitty Clear Channel is anyway, so I felt no need to really offer up anything new but a cartoonist's rendition of the corporate behemoth.
Ok I've decided your reasoning checks out. Yeah Clear Channels sucks. How come we can show Brokeback Mountain on the movie channel here (not cause of the gay stuff but cause of the nudity and the R rating in general) but I can't say "ass sex?" That makes no sense to me. I just love saying "ass sex." Should I punished cause some kid's parents are Republicans?
I don't know. We could bring up that point at the meeting. Both situations coincide, so I don't see why we censor our radio, but not the movie channel. Good one.
